The mission of PROFESA is to establish a platform that unites Puerto Rican professionals through empowerment, networking and service to the community. To create cultural awareness and recognize the contributions of Puerto Ricans. Simply put, PROFESA is a group of Puerto Rican professionals committed to the development of the Puerto Rican community in South Florida. Anchored on three pillars, PROFESA’s “triad” guides the priorities of the organization.

Culture.
Puerto Rican pride and identity binds the members of the Association and is its central focus. PROFESA sponsors and hosts professional events that promote cultural awareness and foster cultural pride.

Network.
Members establish contacts, socialize, exchange ideas and nurture professional relationships with their Puerto Rican counterparts in South Florida. Through networking, PROFESA offers a venue that helps our community develop links for employment and business opportunities and to assist those in need.

Empowerment.
Establish a solid foundation that allows our professionals, youth and the community at large to project the caliber of Puerto Ricans in South Florida. PROFESA’s goal is to gain visibility for the Puerto Rican community to develop and participate in the multitude of programs and opportunities available for our community.
